Ayush Medical Visa
AYUSH (AY) Visa has been designed specifically for foreign nationals looking to receive medical treatment in India through Ayush or other traditional Indian systems of medicine. This visa also caters to those interested in therapeutic care and wellness through traditional medicine.
Any person seeking AY Visa will need to submit a medical invitation letter from an accredited Ayush Institution and their medical history document necessitating the treatment. Attendants/family members of the patient can apply for AYUSH-2 (AY-2) Visa.

Supporting medical documents from an accredited Ayush Institution where the visitor would be treated and prescription/medical history document necessitating the treatment, duly stamped by concerned accredited hospital of the foreigner’s country of origin or country of domicile.

Recommendation letter from a Doctor/Hospital in your country.

Recent Bank statement with sufficient balance to cover the cost of stay in India, including expenses for medical treatment.

In respect of minor child: copy of Birth certificate of child, copy of passports of both parents. Visa application for minor child to be signed by both parents.

Proof of residence in your country e.g. utility bill or bank statement
Indian Medical Visa processing time

Each visa application is processed individually by the Embassy. As a result processing times may vary between applications that appear to be similar.

If application is complete in all aspects it usually takes 3 working days from the date of submission in the Embassy, unless required urgently in critical cases.

5 working days from the date of submission in the Embassy for foreign passport holders.
